Attention LEGO enthusiasts of all ages! The Rocking Horse is thrilled to announce the return of our highly anticipated Annual LEGO Build Competition. Whether you’re a creative mastermind or an engineering genius, this is your chance to showcase your skills and win some amazing LEGO swag!

2026 LEGO March Break Build Contest

How It Works
This competition is open to all ages! Participants are invited to create an original LEGO build and submit a photo of their creation once submissions open. When voting begins, friends and family can join in by voting online to help choose the Brick Builders’ Favourite.

Age Categories

We welcome participants from all age groups! Categories include:

  • 1.5–3 Years

  • 4–7 Years

  • 8–11 Years

  • 12–16 Years

  • 16+

Important Dates

Mark your calendars so you don’t miss a single step:

  • Submission Period: March 2 - 20, 2026

  • Online Voting Begins:

    • On Facebook: March 23

    • Online Form: March 23

  • Online Voting Ends: March 31, 2026 at 11:59PM

Rules & Regulations

To keep the competition fair and fun for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Each participant is allowed ONE entry.

  2. All creations must be made entirely of LEGO bricks or LEGO DUPLO bricks.

  3. Entries must be submitted via the online form.

  4. Creations must fit within a maximum size of 15” x 15” x 15” (equivalent to one large grey baseplate).

  5. Each participant is allowed only one photo entry. Collages are permitted.

  6. Submissions must be original creations and not based on kits or internet instructions.

  7. Participants must be residents of Canada.

  8. Winners must either pick up their prize at our store located at Kingston, Ontario or pay for shipping of their prize.

How to Vote

Voting will take place in three ways:

  1. Visit our 2026 LEGO Build Competition Album (available mid-March) on our Facebook page and "like" your favourite photo (each like equals one vote).

  2. Share the photo from our Facebook album (each share equals one vote).

  3. Fill out the online voting form once it opens up.
